I'm passionate about teaching students with ADHD and executive functioning challenges. With a background in law, I've found excitement in exploring different teaching methods that genuinely connect with students. My coaching style is mindful and prioritizes my students' needs. I encourage self-awareness and reflection, which helps us increase focus and better visualize goals. When creating personalized strategies, I start by getting to know my students—what they want help with, what they need help with, and what they respond to best. My students' common challenge is demotivation, but I help them overcome this by sharing my journey with forming habits and showing them that success takes time and consistency. I like to break the ice in our sessions with fun questions or memes to make the experience more engaging. I also build a connection with my students by finding out more about their lives and what interests them. Communication with parents is essential to coaching success, so I keep them updated on their child's progress and how well they're maintaining their habits. My ultimate goal is to impact my students' lives, equipping them with skills they can use for years to come.

  • Blogging – I enjoy writing, and I used to journal.
  • Spending time with family/friends – Spending time with family and friends over a good meal brings me so much joy.
  • Listening to music – Music always uplifts my mood.
  • Traveling – I grew up traveling throughout South Africa and my first flight was to Europe. That has inspired me to keep exploring the world
