Three for three before school. Strong start 💪

An organization coach for the teen whose system is chaos
The work gets done and then gets lost. The binder was organized for exactly one week in September. Organization is a skill, and skills are built with practice, not lectures.
What an organization coach does
An organization coach (some families search "organizational coach") helps a student build systems that survive contact with a real school week: tracking assignments, keeping materials findable, and turning "clean it up" from a monthly crisis into a daily two-minute habit. The coach builds the system with the student, then supports it daily until it runs without reminders.
01 · Disorganization, up close
The disorganized teen, documented
Four scenes every one of these households knows:
The backpack event horizon
Finished homework enters; nothing returns.
The zero that wasn't earned
The work was done. It just never made the trip from desk to teacher.
One binder, six systems, none used
Every organizing product has been bought; none survived week two.
Sunday-night archaeology
Assignments discovered the night before they're due.
02 · Why systems fail without support
Organized once isn't organized
Most teens can get organized; a parent-led clean-out works for a weekend. What fails is staying organized, because a system only becomes a habit through small daily repetitions with feedback. That's the entire Coachbit model: a real coach checks in with the student every day to land one small, winnable step (backpack reset, planner check, folder sweep) plus live 1-on-1 video sessions to tune the system until it's theirs.

03 · Coaching, therapy, or both?
The honest triage
Coaching is not therapy and Coachbit doesn't diagnose or provide medical care of any kind. Chronic disorganization often travels with ADHD. If a diagnosis question is on the table, a licensed clinician is the right first step. Many families run both: the clinician handles care, the coach handles the daily skills-and-systems layer.

04 · What changes
A system that survives week two
- Week 1–2: the two-minute daily reset becomes routine; finished work starts making the trip.
- Month 1: one planner, one folder system, zero archaeology.
- Month 2–3: the system runs without reminders, because it's theirs.

FAQ
Questions parents ask
What does an organization coach do?
They help a student design and keep an organization system: assignment tracking, materials management, and a short daily reset. The difference from a one-off clean-up is the daily support that turns the system into a habit.
How do I teach organizational skills to a high school student?
Small and daily beats big and occasional. One two-minute reset done every day builds the skill; a four-hour Sunday overhaul builds resentment. Support and feedback during the daily rep is what makes it hold, and that's what a coach provides.
Why does my teen lose finished homework?
Because completing work and delivering work are different skills. Delivery depends on a working system: one place assignments live, one place finished work goes. That system is buildable, and it's the first thing a coach sets up.
Is disorganization a sign of ADHD?
It can travel with ADHD, and it can simply be an executive skill that hasn't developed yet. Diagnosis questions belong with a licensed clinician; the skill itself responds to the same daily practice either way.
How does Coachbit work?
