ADHD Screening
Assessment for teens
Wondering what's behind the missed
homework and lost focus?
Looking for an ADHD test for your teen? Our screening is a research-backed ADHD assessment using the Conners-4, a gold-standard tool trusted by psychologists and pediatricians worldwide.
The Conners-4 provides a comprehensive assessment of symptoms and impairments associated with ADHD and common co-occurring problems and disorders in children and youth aged 6 to 18 years.
This is a structured screening with a practitioner-led feedback call — not a medical diagnosis. We'll help you understand the results and what to do next.
Led by a Qualified Coachbit practitioner
This process gives families clarity on the symptoms and practical next steps. All in a supportive, parent-friendly format.
Formal ADHD screening with Conners-4®.
Includes a comprehensive report and video feedback session.
Suitable for children and teens aged 6–18, as well as College students.
Results are for guidance, not diagnosis.
How it Works
Intake Interview
Meet with a Coachbit psychometrist over video call to discuss your child's background, learning profile, and any concerns. While most of the information will be gathered from the parent, the child will be invited to join briefly so we can meet them and ask a few simple questions about their experience.
Assessment Forms
You'll receive the Conners-4 parent forms via email. Your child will receive the Conners-4 self-report forms if necessary. These take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.
Feedback Call & Report
Once scored, we'll schedule a follow-up video call to walk you through the results. You'll receive a detailed report with specific recommendations for further intervention and support strategies.

“Thank you Coachbit”
“Our son started with Coachbit as an awkward 11th grader with pretty significant executive functioning and ADHD issues. He was having a really hard time managing the various responsibilities in his life, and his motivation and confidence were plummeting as a result. In his first semester with Coachbit, his grades improved from B's and C's to almost all A's! Over time he has grown in to a calm, fairly confident college student with a plan to tackle life’s daily challenges.”
What families do next
The screening tells you what's going on. The natural next step is building the skills it highlights: most families continue with daily 1-on-1 coaching — a real coach checking in with their teen every day on routines, focus and follow-through.
ADHD Assessment FAQs
Is this the same as an ADHD diagnosis?
No. This is a screening assessment, not a formal diagnosis. The Conners-4 provides research-backed insight into ADHD symptoms and related concerns. Results are for guidance only and can help you understand your child's experiences and decide on practical next steps to support their success.
Who conducts the ADHD screening assessment?
All screenings are conducted by a registered psychometrist trained in administering and scoring the Conners-4 assessment.
What will my child need to do during the ADHD screening?
Most information is gathered from parents. Your child will join briefly during the intake session so we can meet them and ask a few simple questions.
What do I receive after the ADHD assessment?
You'll get:
- A scored Conners-4 report
- A detailed written summary with practical next steps
- A feedback call to discuss results and answer your questions
Can this ADHD report be used for school accommodations or medical treatment?
While the report offers useful guidance, it cannot be used alone for school placement or medical diagnosis. Schools and doctors may consider it alongside a full clinical evaluation.
What happens after the ADHD screening assessment?
Based on results, we'll recommend next steps tailored to your child's needs. In many cases, this means coaching support to help with focus, organization, and daily routines. These are practical areas where children with ADHD often struggle. If additional evaluation or medical input is needed, we'll also guide you toward the right professionals.
Does Coachbit offer support after the ADHD screening?
Yes. Many families continue with ADHD-focused coaching to turn the insights from the screening into real progress at home and school. Coaching provides structure, support, and habits that help children build the routines they need to thrive.
How long does it take to receive the ADHD screening results?
You'll typically receive your child's full report and feedback session within 2 weeks of the intake interview.
How accurate is the ADHD screening assessment?
The Conners-4 is a gold-standard, research-backed tool trusted by psychologists and pediatricians worldwide. While it does not provide a medical diagnosis, it offers a highly reliable overview of ADHD symptoms and related concerns that can guide your next steps.
Is the ADHD assessment suitable for teenagers and university students?
Yes. The Conners ADHD Assessment has multiple versions that are appropriate for children, teens, and young adults up to university age.
What are common signs of ADHD in teens?
Common signs of ADHD in teens include missed deadlines and lost focus, big emotions, bright kids with slipping grades, impulsive decisions, and a "why try" mindset. Every teen shows some of these sometimes — a screening puts structure around the question.
What happens after the screening?
You receive a detailed report and a practitioner-led feedback call explaining the results and recommended next steps. If the results suggest a clinical evaluation would help, we'll say so and you can take the report to your pediatrician or psychologist. Many families continue with Coachbit's daily ADHD coaching to build the routines and skills the screening highlights.
